Happy FriYAY!

Who else is excited for the weekend? This warm fall weather has me daydreaming of football and apple cider [let's be real...beer.] Anyone else?

Scrolling through my Instagram feed to find a picture of me was challenging. I need to step up my self portrait game. [I don't like being in front of the camera.] 

Well... hi! [shyly waves at all of you.] I'm Katie, the one behind the lens. I tend to be on the shy side, but love being social! I'm married to my college sweetheart and we have two beautiful kids together. Lilly (4) and Jack (1).

Amina turned one recently! We met at Covered Bridge Park in Cedarburg to capture this milestone. Amina couldn't be sweeter, she loved her birthday cake!

Wyler | Maternity Lifestyle Session

Vanessa is a good friend and also a photographer in Pewaukee. Its fun to get our kids together and location scout. We have daughters close in age and now sons too. This session was back in May in between thunderstorms. So glad we decided to wait in the car for a few minutes for the clouds to clear!

The Zimdars Family welcomed their adorable son last fall. I was so lucky to be able to capture these moments with them 'in their now' on a chilly spring night. When Allie contacted me to take family pictures with their dog, 10 years old, I was sooooo excited! They want to remember this point in their life with their four legged friend. <3 Sun shining, toddler playing, and the most chill 'puppy' made for a great spring session! First few days as a family of 4! Henley's sweet family invited me into their home to capture their first moments as a family of 4! Big brother Nolan loved taking pictures....but when he was told he was done, he started doing flips on the bed!

Owen's family invited me into their gorgeous home to tell their story as he turns 1! I love capturing these special moments for families. Owen was full of smiles and LOVED trying out his birthday cake. We wrapped up the session with a sink bath and some head shots for dad.

Throwback Thursday to this gorgeous maternity session in Waukesha, WI.  A beautiful warm fall morning, with this couple was so much fun! Their baby boy made his arrival a few days after Christmas. Watch for his newborn blog post coming soon. ;)

365 | February

365 | February Another month in the books, 10 to go! This has been a fun project for me. I really think this is helping me grow as an artist...plus it's fun to think of new things everyday! I love taking pictures outdoors, so this winter has really pushed me out of my comfort zone to find the best light.
